I found my way into photography through the eyes of my father who gave me my first camera when I was a child. From that moment on, the camera opened doors for me and allowed me to become an observer; the camera was a ticket to groups and events I could not access without it. At the same time, I discovered a growing fascination with the image in all its forms, although the print was most fascinating and illusionary. The paper image with a jewel-like reflective surface was only flat to the casual observer. In photography, I found myself in both the window and the mirror, a fun house of metaphors and ideas. Currently, in my work, each project becomes a portfolio or a suite of images that uncover a new facet of that photographic jewel.
